    $50 Weekly Meal Plan – Week #2

    $50 Meal Plan
    Monday
    Breakfast: Yogurt parfait with cantaloupes & granola
    Lunch: BLTs
    Dinner: Herb roasted pork loin with mashed potatoes & maple glazed carrots
    Tuesday
    Breakfast: Hard boiled egg, toast and slice of cantaloupe
    Lunch:  Leftovers – pork sandwich and homemade sweet potato fries
    Dinner: Shrimp Alfredo with caesar side salad
    Wednesday
    Breakfast: Granola cereal with sliced bananas
    Lunch: Homemade mac and cheese
    Dinner: Salmon patties with baked potatoes and roasted asparagus
    Thursday
    Breakfast:  Homemade french toast
    Lunch: Turkey wrap and pita chips
    Dinner: Chicken parmesan with spaghetti
    Friday
    Breakfast: Hard boiled egg, toast and banana
    Lunch: Salad
    Dinner:  Breaded chicken breasts (baked) with garlic green beans with mashed potatoes and chicken gravy
    Saturday
    Breakfast: Homemade waffles
    Lunch: Turkey wrap and pita chips
    Dinner: Ham, white beans and corn bread
    Sunday
    Breakfast: Omelets with green peppers, shredded cheese and left over bacon
    Lunch: Egg salad lettuce wrap and homemade fries
    Dinner: Chicken fried rice with peas and carrots
    Shopping List
    • Bone-in chicken breasts  – 3lbs – $3 (on sale)
    • Mixed vegetables – frozen -$1
    • Green beans – frozen – $1
    • Bacon – $1.69 (on sale)
    • Bread – .85 cents
    • Tomato – .50 cents
    • Lettuce – .99 cents
    • Spiral ham – 2lbs – $3.96
    • White beans – canned – .65 cents
    • Jiffy corn bread mix – .47 cents
    • Salmon – canned 4 pack – $3.50
    • Potatoes – 5lbs – .99 (on sale)
    • Pork loin – 1.69 per lb – $6.76 (on sale)
    • Bananas – 2 lbs – .88 cents
    • Carrots – 2lbs – .99
    • Yogurt – .$1.56 for 4
    • Granola  – $1.50 for a big box at a discount food store
    • Tortillas – $1
    • Cantaloupes – .99 each
    • Eggs – 2 cartons – $1.38
    • Green pepper – .50 cents
    • Turkey lunch meat – 1 lb – $2.79
    • Mozzarella cheese – $1.79
    • Chicken patties – frozen -$3.36
    • Pasta sauce – $1.19
    • Elbow noodles – $.69 for 2 boxes
    • Pita chips- $1.69
    • Asparagus –  Fresh – $1.50
    • Shrimp – $3.99 a lb
    • Alfredo sauce – .85 cents
    • 2 Sweet Pototoes – $1.50
    Again, prices will vary based on location. There were many sales to be found this week. I had to go to 5 stores to get these deals. ADLI, Walmart, Bargain Basement (discount food store),  Dollar Tree and Save-a-lot
    I did not include some staple items and items that I always have on hand. This includes: soy sauce, rice, condiments, breadcrumbs, spices & herbs, baking goods for the waffles and french toast, angel hair pasta, croutons, lemon juice and grated parmesan cheese.
