Author: Stephy
Cost: 3.50

Equipment

  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 1 hot glue gun
  • 1 glue stick
  • 1 scrapbook tape roller
  • pencil

Ingredients

  • 1 wood heart
  • 1 piece scrapbook paper buffalo check
  • 1 ribbon red or pink
  • 1 metal sign with gnomes from Dollar Tree

Instructions

  • Trace an outline of the wood heart on the back of a scrapbook page.
  • Cut out the shape.
  • Apply the adhesive or tape to the wood shape.
  • Align the buffalo check heart with the wood shape and press the paper down on top of it.
  • Trim around the edges of the paper with your scissors if its not perfectly outlined.
  • Remove the bow on your metal sign.
  • Add some dabs of hot glue to the back of your sign and add it on top of your buffalo check heart, making sure its properly aligned in the center.
  • Make two small mini bows and glue them to either side of the sign to cover the holes where it was supposed to hang.
  • Cut a piece of ribbon long enough to hang your DIY Valentine's Day sign and glue each end to either side of the heart.

Notes

You don't necessarily have to use the scrapbook tape roller to adhere the scrapbook paper to the wood shape. You can use whatever adhesive that you have on hand that won't crinkle the paper.
