How to Set Up the Summer Bingo Game

First, print the bingo cards, calling cards, and token sheet (if using). Cut apart the calling cards along the dashed lines, then place them in a bowl, a cup, a basket, or a small paper bag.

Next, cut out the printable tokens. Each player will need a small pile of tokens to cover the pictures on their card.

Give each child one card and some tokens. Once everyone is ready, you can start calling out the summer pictures one by one.

How to Play Summer Bingo

Have each player place a token on the free space in the center of the card.

Then, draw one calling card at a time and show or say the picture. For example, you might call out “watermelon,” “sunglasses,” “beach ball,” or “ice cream cone.”

Players look at their bingo cards and cover the matching picture with a token if they have it. Keep drawing calling cards until someone gets five in a row.

The first player to cover five spaces in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally calls out “Bingo!” and wins the game.

For larger groups, pair kids together and let them play as teams. This is a simple way to use the 10 bingo cards with more than 10 children.
