Give your front door a festive spring makeover on a budget with this simple and easy DIY Dollar Tree easter bunny wreath. This DIY easter wreath only costs $4 in supplies. It’s a very cheap way to add some easter decorations to your home without breaking the bank.

Plus, this DIY wreath only took about 30 minutes to make so its a quick easter craft for adults.

All you need for this craft project is a foam wreath, 2 bags of cotton balls, floral wire, a bunny headband, and glue sticks. These items can all be found at Dollar Tree (FYI: you can even find the cotton balls cheaper at Walmart). If you are a frequent crafter, you probably already have everything but the bunny headband already!

To make this easter wreath: 1. Attach the bunny headband to the back of the wreath using the floral wire. 2. Glue the cotton balls to the foam wreath until it is completely covered.

For this wreath, I was just aiming for something quick, cheap and easy, but you can easily take it to the next level by customizing it. Here are some of the ways you can add more accents to it:

    • a matching pink bow on the bottom
    • bunny whiskers on the sides (by using thick gauge floral stem wire, which you can get at Michaels for a few dollars)
    • Adding a larger bottom foam wreath underneath to make a full bunny instead of just the face.
    • florals and or floral picks on the bottom

    Yield: 1 wreath
    Cost: 4

    Equipment

    • hot glue gun
    • 6 glue sticks

    Materials

    • 1 foam wreath
    • 2 bags cotton balls
    • floral wire
    • bunny headband

    Instructions

    • Attach the bunny heandband to the back of the wreath at the top using floral wire. Just wrap it around the wreath and the headband until it is secure.
    • Glue the cotton balls to the foam wreath using hot glue. Be sure to glue them close together to that the foam wreath underneath doesn't show.
    • If you see any cracks where you see through to the foam, you can dab some glue and push the cotton balls together to get rid of it.
    • Keep gluing on the cotton balls until the wreath is completly covered.
    • Add any exta accents that you want like a bow or whiskers.

    Notes

For my wreath, I used a combination of dollar tree cotton balls and mini white pom-poms to make mine because that's just what I had on hand, but you can just use cotton balls!
Also, I stretched and puffed up each cotton ball a bit before adding it to the wreath so that each piece would cover more of an area, but that's an optional step.
