Give your front door a makeover for Valentine’s Day on a budget with this DIY Dollar Tree Heart Wreath.

This budget-friendly valentines day wreath only costs $5 to make and takes less than 30 minutes to put together! You can get most of the supplies for this DIY wreath at Dollar Tree. This is a fun valentine’s day craft for adults to make in February and is a great DIY valentine’s day decor idea. You can either hang this valentine’s wreath above the mantel or outside on your door.

    Pom-Pom Heart Wreath Supplies:

    • 10″ foam heart wreath form –
      • If you choose a different size wreath, keep in mind that the number of pom pom garlands you need will change.
      • Also, I chose not to decorate the back of the wreath form so you will need to double the number of garlands if you want to do that.
      • If you can’t find a heart shape wreath form, you could always make a heart wreath form from cardboard by printing a template, tracing it onto the cardboard, and cutting it out.
    • 3 pink and red pom pom garlands
      • I chose the garland with both red and pink on it, but you can just choose a couple of each color too.
    • ribbon to make a pink bow
      • I used a pink gingham ribbon because that’s what I had on hand, but you could also use a red burlap ribbon too.
    • floral wire
    • wire cutters (optional)
    • hot glue gun
    • scissors

    Total Time30 mins
    Yield: 1 wreath
    Cost: 5

    Equipment

    • pair of scissors
    • hot glue gun
    • glue sticks

    Materials

    • foam heart wreath
    • 3 pom-pom garlands
    • ribbon
    • floral wire

    Instructions

    • Remove the pom-poms from the garland.
    • Put a dab of hot glue onto the back of each pom-pom and press it on the styrofoam heart wreath. Alternate the colors and move in a single row all the way around the wreath. Once you complete a row, move to the next closest spot over. I made about 5 rows of pom-poms.
    • After the wreath is completely covered in pom-poms, make your bow. I use a bowdabra bow maker to make the bow very quickly and easily.
    • Glue the bow to the top of your wreath.
