This festive cheese ball combines regular and vegetable cream cheese with ranch seasoning, green onions, red pepper, and sharp cheddar for plenty of savory flavor. The mixture is coated with more cheddar, wrapped tightly, and shaped with rubber bands or kitchen twine to create pumpkin-like ridges, then chilled for at least two hours. A bell pepper stem completes the pumpkin look. It can be prepared ahead and refrigerated overnight.

Deliciously Rotten Deviled Eggs

Spooky Party Punch

Cranberry juice, pineapple juice, lemonade concentrate, and ginger ale or lemon-lime soda make this big-batch Halloween punch. The standout feature is the frozen ice hands, which are made with food-safe gloves or a hand-shaped mold and floated in the punch just before guests arrive. The recipe serves 20 or more and can be made ahead without the soda, which is added closer to party time to keep the punch fizzy. It's an easy drink option for all ages.

Taco Dip

This Halloween taco dip layers seasoned refried beans with homemade guacamole, cheddar cheese, black olives, tomato, and green onion. Healthy Halloween Pasta Salad

Whole wheat penne gets a spooky makeover with purple food coloring, then is tossed with broccoli, cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots, cheese, and Italian dressing. Cucumber slices are carved with little jack-o'-lantern faces and placed throughout the salad, while black bean pasta can be used instead of coloring the noodles. This make-ahead salad is refrigerated for a couple of hours or overnight. The recipe is specifically described as a lightened-up party dish that's easy to make and perfect for serving or bringing to a Halloween celebration.

The ingredients are whisked and beaten together, then the finished dip is refrigerated and topped with graham cracker crumbs before serving. The recipe takes just 10 minutes to prepare. For an extra festive presentation, the author serves the dip inside a real pumpkin, making it an eye-catching addition to a party spread.

Jet-black squid ink spaghetti gives this Halloween pasta its witchy appearance, while garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes create a simple savory sauce with a little heat. The garlic is gently cooked in olive oil before red pepper flakes and pasta water are added, then the cooked spaghetti is tossed directly into the sauce. Ready in just 15 minutes, the recipe is a quick option when you want something more substantial than Halloween snacks and sweets. Its dramatic black color makes the pasta especially fitting for a spooky dinner party or Halloween gathering.

These festive cookies start with a chocolate chip-style dough and get their Halloween look from seasonal M&M's, colorful sprinkles, and candy eyes.
