Give your front door a spooky makeover with this DIY Dollar Tree halloween wreath.

hanging skeleton ghoul wreath

This dollar tree halloween decoration only requires a handful of supplies. It costs around $5 to make and takes just 10 minutes to put together so it’s definitely a cheap and easy halloween wreath. This wreath would be a great addition to your spooky halloween porch for trick or treaters. Pair it with some creepy cloth (or cheesecloth) hanging from your porch ceiling or porch railings to give your home a ghostly touch on a budget.

Plus, this is a fun dollar store halloween craft that your kids can help you make!

Supplies for this Dollar Tree Halloween Wreath:

  • wire wreath form
  • hanging skeleton ghoul
  • black creepy cloth
  • metal sign
  • black deco mesh
  • floral wire
  • glue gun and glue stick

Total Time 10 minutes mins
Yield 1 wreath

Equipment

  • scissors
  • hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • floral wire

Materials

  • 1 wire wreath form
  • 1 hanging skeleton ghoul
  • 1 piece black creepy cloth
  • 1 metal sign
  • 1 roll  black deco mesh

Instructions

  • Cut the skeleton ghoul's robes in half down the middle.
  • Attach the skeleton to the wire wreath form using floral wire. I attached both arms and around the head. I just poked the floral wire through the fabric where I wanted it.
  • Wrap the sides of the robe around the top half of the wreath. Tie off the ends to the wire wreath form and tuck it in the back.
  • Wrap the black deco mesh along the bottom half until the wreath is covered and you can't see the wire through the mesh.
  • Cut off a section of creepy cloth that's big enough for the whole wreath and drape it around the skeleton's back.
  • Glue the creepy cloth down around the neck, above hands and along the back of the wreath.
  • Glue the metal word down in the middle on the bottom.
