Sometimes when you’re on a budget it’s tempting to grab a cheap bag of chips or snack cakes at the grocery store, but you can still eat healthy snacks while on a budget! There’s no need to give up eating healthy snacks because of budgets or convenience. Most of these healthy snacks are less than $1 per serving and require very little preparing. So put down the junk food and grab a healthy snack from my list!


  • Yogurt
  • Cheese stick or slice of cheese
  • Cottage cheese
  • Frozen Yogurt with fruit
  • Boiled egg
  • Sherbert
  • Yogurt Berry Parfait
  • Egg whites on toast


  • Banana
  • Apple

  • Almond or soy milk (you can buy either of these at ALDI for around the same price as regular milk)

  • Chicken salad and crackers
  • Tuna salad and crackers
  • Crackers with chocolate-hazelnut spread and banana
  • English tea sandwiches (cucumber and cream cheese spread on french toast)
  • Half of a pb&j or banana&honey sandwich or banana and peanut butter sandwich
  • Mini ham or turkey lettuce wrap
  • Crackers with peanut butter or cheese
  • Crackers and hazelnut spread
  • Tuna lettuce wrap
  • Egg salad lettuce wrap
